DESCRIPTION:RAAGA 2026 introduces community members to the rich tradition of Carnatic Classical vocal music, a classical music form originating in Southern India.\nThrough interactive vocal music workshops, participants will explore the seven fundamental notes of Carnatic music and learn how they are used in different patterns to create melodies and songs across a variety of musical styles.\nWorkshops will be offered for children, youth, adults, and seniors, making RAAGA 2026 an accessible opportunity for community members of all ages to experience, learn, and connect through South Indian classical music.\nThis event is free to attend as part of Alberta Culture Days 2026.\n
