A&W Canada is teaming up with the Nistawoyou Association Friendship Centre to raise awareness and funding support for MMIWG2S+ people with our Burgers for Friendship event on May 5.
The inaugural event will take place at all A&W Fort McMurray locations on the National Day of Awareness for MMIWG2S+ (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit), which coincides with Red Dress Day.
A&W will donate $1 from every Teen Burger® sold, in Fort McMurray, to help aid the Friendship Centre in its community initiatives and programming for residents in the Wood Buffalo region. Additionally, all local A&W locations will begin collecting donations for NAFC starting on April 25, 2022.
Please join us in raising awareness for the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people.
