Child Passenger Safety Technician Training
Location
The Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) training program is a nationally recognized, standardized, professional training and certification program provided by instructors in communities throughout the country. Our training program provides course participants with the widest range of information and knowledge available in Canada on child passenger safety. This includes best practice recommendations, occupant protection systems, child restraint use, the law, and more. The training will prepare you to use your technical and practical skills to help families at clinic events, private seat checks, workshops, community events, or within the confines of your job.
The course will run over the 3 days from 9am-5pm daily. There will be practical portion that will require you to physically handle and install child safety seats. There will be knowledge tests/quizzes throughout the course and a car seat clinic at the end of day three. You MUST be present for all portions of the course. No children can be in attendance with exceptions made for small babies that will be content sleeping and being fed throughout the days. Full schedule and other information will be emailed to registrants once we get closer to the event.
