These workshops are inteneded for individuals 18 or older who are unemployed or marginally employed and require increased knowledge in computer skills, workplace reading and writing skills, or job search strategies to strengthen their ability to find and maintain employment. Additional tutoring is available for participants for whom English is their second language.
In this introductory workshop, participants will learn to operate a computer and its applications. You will learn commonly used features and functions, as well as document and file management. Participants will also become familiar with browsing the internet and utilizing search engines and apply these skills to reasearch online job opportunities. Participants will also have the opportunity to create an email account using Microsoft Outlook and learn about utilizing this program for communication and time management within the workplace.
This is a daily workshop starting February 27th – March 3rd.
