We are in a farm income crisis. The National Farmers Union (NFU) continues to expose the issue and seek systemic change. In a recent press release; Grocery Prices are Rising and Farmers’ Share Declining as Corporate Processors and Retailers Take More and More, the NFU states: “public data shows that corporate food processors and retailers have relentlessly, for decades, pushed up retail prices even as the prices paid to farmers remained largely stagnant.” Given the state of farm income further detailed in the Tackling the Farm Crisis and the Climate Crisis, the NFU is convening virtual conversations on the links between climate change, income security, and community resilience.
We want to invite you to an upcoming event with your community.
Date & time: January 17 5:30 – 7:30 PM MST
