You’re invited to share input on grades 7-12 career education to help the Career Education Task Force shape future programming in Alberta.

In-person public engagement sessions are being held from 5 to 8 pm in various locations in Alberta. There are interactive displays for you to provide input before and immediately following a task force panel discussion.

The panel discussion will take place from 6 to 7 pm. Task force members will provide information about career education programming for grades 7-12 and the work they are doing. They will also respond to questions and comments from the audience.

Can’t make it for the whole event? You’re welcome to drop by any time before or after the panel discussion.

Livestream Information

If you can’t attend the panel discussion in person, it will be livestreamed. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide comments online. The panel will respond to livestream input as time allows.

Career Education Task Force, Government of Alberta

The task force was established in July 2022 to review career education, with a focus on grades 7-12.

Task force members are currently engaging with Albertans, including various education, industry and business stakeholders across the province to hear a broad range of perspectives.

Insights from the engagements and review will inform their work developing:

  • a provincial framework to guide future career education programming, including curriculum and funding
  • a final report with recommendations for innovations and enhancements to strengthen career education programming for students and employers

Your feedback will help the task force determine what is working and where there are opportunities for change.
