The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is proud to present the second guest speaker in the It’s Time to Talk: Indigenous Speaker Series, on September 30 at 2 p.m.
The next featured speaker in the series is Michelle Good, the award-winning author of Five Little Indians, a fictional story based on real-life recollections of residential school experiences.
This event is taking place on the first annual National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, established by the federal government earlier this year in response to the Truth and Reconciliation (TRC) of Canada’s Call to Action #80. As such, this event is another opportunity to educate and remind us about the history of residential schools, honour victims, survivors, and their families.
It will feature an address from the author and an interactive question and answer session. To register, please email participate@rmwb.ca.
