An event to celebrate the official opening of Kiyām Community Park, located in downtown Fort McMurray at the corner of Franklin Avenue and Main Street.
The main event at 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 24 will be followed by greetings and light lunch in the Jubilee Centre lobby.
Kiyām (pronounced key-yam) is a Cree word meaning “Let it be.” The word is used when you are at peace with yourself and your surroundings, and nothing anyone does or says can affect you.
