The Alberta Symphony Orchestra Society is presenting Music in the Air, an outdoor concert series, at informal venues throughout Alberta. On September 12, Cara McLeod, Soprano and Emilio De Mercato, pianist, will perform at Heritage Village in Fort McMurray.
The family-friendly 45 minute program will include opera, classical, piano solos, pop and crossover music.
Cara and Emilio are both thrilled to be returning to Fort McMurray to present a concert on Sunday, September 12 at 3:00pm at Heritage Village! They are also so proud to be sponsored at this event by Julio Florez of Florez | Burton Royal LePage Benchmark and Jennifer Fahey with Royal LePage True North Realty. Julio was also a long-term resident of Fort McMurray, a significant supporter of the arts, and still has deep ties to the city.
Cara and Emilio created Music in the Air to bring comfort, celebration and beautiful music to audiences wherever possible. The month of July was filled with both private and public bookings in all manners of venues throughout the province, and they are thrilled to be performing across the province in September and early October.
No formal tickets are required. Audience members are encouraged to make an online or in-person donation (suggested amount is $25), but the ASO is committed to offering this performance to everyone, whether they are able to give a donation or not.
