Ramadan Fast-A-Thon 2022

Markaz Ul Islam (your local Mosque) is organizing an event for the wider community that was very popular pre Covid.  We want to give the community an opportunity to learn about Ramadan, bond with their Muslim community and give back to the local food bank.

Go Hungry for a Day So Someone Else Doesn’t Have to. Ramadan is around the corner, and the Muslim community of Fort McMurray invites you to fast one day (no food or liquids between 3:51am to 8:50pm April 22nd) with us for our fundraiser for the local food bank.

Join us at 8:00 pm on April 22nd at Father Mercredi High School cafeteria for a free dinner (variety of amazing food) to break your fast.  The free dinner is amazing, all home cooked (lots of variety from many different cultures :)) by volunteers from our community.   Please be there on time as we will have a small presentation about Ramadan.   All participants are encouraged to give a cash donation to the food bank. Family friendly event.

Covid gathering restrictions: As per AHS mask use is voluntary.  We will still have chairs spaced apart to ensure comfort for all.

There are no special requirements the staff need to know or wear to enter the event.
