After a two-year hiatus, Regional Emergency Services (RES) and other local emergency services providers are very excited to again invite the community to a FREE pancake breakfast and fire hall open house.
Tours, face painters, obstacle course, teddy bear clinic and more!
On Saturday, Sept. 24, from 9 a.m. until noon at Fire Hall 1 (Hawkins Hall, 2 Tolen Drive), breakfast will be served, and many fun, interesting activities and demonstrations held. The morning will have something for everyone, from drone equipment displays and vehicle rescue demonstrations, to tours of emergency services equipment, fire trucks, and a fire safety trailer.
Children can enjoy face painters, Zumba with Sparky and other local mascots, and even a kid-sized firefighter obstacle course. Children with teddy bears in need of attention may bring them in to receive care at a special clinic.
Free public parking for the breakfast will be available at Fort McMurray Composite High School and Keyano College parking lots. A free shuttle service from the parking lots to the fire hall will be available. Parking will also be available at Fort McMurray Heritage Village.
