Please join us for this special in-person event for ADVANCED SEWERS to learn how to make ribbon bags with local Indigenous Artist, Joelle Erksine of Elisasit Stitches. Inspired by the ribbon skirt, a ribbon bag is specially made for harvesting plants or medicines or for carrying bundles.
Lunch and materials provided. However please note that participants will be required to bring their own sewing machines and must have knowledge on how to use them. Assistance will be available at location to carry machines in.
This program is to honor Residential School Survivors, their families & descendants.
