Learn the fundamentals of safe stage movement with Brodie Dransutavicius. Falling down might sound like the simplest thing in the world, but doing so safely without injuring yourself and your fellow actors, maintaining control, and making it look believable can be surprisingly difficult.
This fun two hour workshop will walk you through the basics of falling down on stage.
About the facilitator:
Brodie Dransutavicius is a performing artist and fight choreographer in Fort McMurray. A proficient actor, Brodie has performed in numerous productions with the Keyano Theatre Company, including The 39 Steps, Boeing Boeing, A Few Good Men, Run For Your Wife, and Footloose The Musical.
He is an accomplished fight choreographer, with experience from The British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat, Diploma Nordic Stage Fight Society, The Society of American Fight Directors, The Society of Australian Fight Directors inc, and Fight Directors Canada. In 2012, he received Best Technical Director at WinterPlay. Brodie has choreographed stage combat for several productions, including Evil Dead The Musical, several Theatre; Just Because dinner theatre productions, and What Time Does the 3 O’Clock Parade Start.
Theatre; Just Because is dedicated to keeping our facilitators and participants as safe as possible at our workshops and other events. We ask that everyone attending adheres to the AHS, facility, and TJB guidelines:
Anyone attending a TJB event is required to wear a face mask.
Maintain physical distancing (3 metres) at all times.
Hand sanitizer will be available.
No lingering/grouping in hallways or outside classrooms.
Anyone showing signs of being ill with flu-like symptoms will NOT be permitted to attend.
