This workshop is presented as part of the Suncor Indigenous Artist Program.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Join Colin Wolf in a crash course creation workshop. Starting with a group warmup, participants will be led through a series of exercises using writing, movement, sound, and pre-selected source material that will culminate in a first draft of a storytelling based performance.
The workshop will have 2 focuses:
The balance of movement, stillness, writing, and discussion will result in a basic understanding of the tools, skills, and strategies to engage creatively as a storyteller, writer, or performer.
Please bring in a hard copy of written source material (article, poem, email, text conversation, screenshot, essay, book, etc.) and a full water bottle. You are also encouraged to wear comfortable clothes to move in.
