Open to all Fort Chipewyan Community Members.

Make Dene a Language you speak at home.

As children learn Dene in school, parents can join Elder Julie Mercredi to learn alongside them. Explore greetings, numbers, months, animals, plants, and trees. By the end of 18 sessions, you’ll be able to have simple conversations in Dene as a family
