Traditional Community Feast to Honour Sacred Ancestor Graveyards

The Sacred Ancestor Grounds is a wonderful traditional ceremony where we celebrate our land and the ancestors who are deeply connected to it.  With a spirit of respect, we come together for a community feast, sharing our gratitude and asking for blessings as we embark on new journeys.

We are excited to be cleaning and beautifying the East Bank Graveyard near the Athabasca River to honour those who have passed and revitalize this important cultural space.  Next year, we look forward to enhancing and preserving the rich cultural heritage of Moose Lake as well.
