This training is designed to support coaches in creating safe, accessible, and meaningful sport experiences for all athletes. It is not about teaching the technical skills of soccer (or any specific sport). Instead, the focus is on understanding how to work effectively with children and youth who have diverse needs — including physical disabilities, developmental differences, sensory challenges, ADHD, autism, cerebral palsy, and more.
Participants will learn practical strategies for communication, behaviour support, adapting activities, managing mixed-ability groups, and building confidence in athletes of all abilities. The goal is to equip coaches with the tools and awareness needed to ensure every child feels included, understood, and set up for success, regardless of the sport being played.
This training benefits coaches, volunteers, and program leaders in any sport environment — from soccer to hockey, baseball, basketball, and beyond.
