You are invited to attend an upcoming Power of Attorney (POA) presentation, facilitated by the Alberta Elder Abuse Awareness Counsellor.
This one-hour presentation will provide community members with practical information to help protect their choices, maintain their dignity, and understand their rights in Alberta.
Participants will learn:
• How to choose the right person to manage their finances and act on their behalf.
• How a Personal Directive allows a trusted person to make healthcare and personal decisions if you are unable to do so yourself.
• Your right to remain the ultimate decision-maker in your life.
• How and when you can update, change, or cancel your documents.
