Every year, on December 10 since 1948, when the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), the United Nations observes Human Rights Day. This day acknowledges the entitled rights to everyone as a human being – regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth, or status. In 2022, the UN will be launching a year long campaign to promote and recognize the 75th anniversary of the UDHR, which falls on December 10, 2023.
