Cabin Conversations is a fun and educational speaker series brought to you by Wood Buffalo Pride. Each month we invite an entertaining expert in their field, to speak about interesting 2SLGBTQ+ topics.
Guy is a seasoned advocate for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, with a dedicated history in HIV/AIDS activism and support spanning over three decades. Since 1988, he has been a passionate volunteer, contributing his time and expertise to various initiatives. His commitment to the cause led him to serve on the board of AIDS Calgary in the early 1990s and to become a founding member of the Greater Network of Persons HIV+ (GNP+). Throughout his career, Guy has consistently taken on leadership roles, advocating for the needs and rights of individuals living with HIV/AIDS. As a proud long-term HIV survivor, Guy brings a unique perspective and a wealth of experience to this talk.

Wood Buffalo Pride acknowledges that the land we occupy is nistawâyâw, within Treaty 8, the traditional territory of the Cree and Dene Nations and the homeland of the Métis people. We recognize and honour all the Indigenous people, especially Two Spirit people, who have stewarded this land for time immemorial prior to first contact, and who continue to resist oppressive colonial definitions of sexuality and gender to this day.
