The University of Calgary is partnering with the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (RMWB) to host a community conversation on mental well-being.
Mental health affects us all, our families, our workplaces, and our communities. Across Canada people are facing unique challenges in accessing the mental health care they need.
We invite you to attend an open and collaborative discussion where community members, people with lived experience, and service providers can come together to:
• Share experiences and insights about mental wellbeing and care in our region
• Identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities in current supports
• Explore how we can build more responsive and inclusive systems of care
Following the conversation, the University of Calgary research team will prepare a community-informed report. This will be available for local decision makers, healthcare practitioners, patients, families, and researchers with the goal of helping future programing, priorities, initiatives to be shaped by the real needs and experiences of our community.
