Santa Claus is coming to town on Dec. 6!
Get ready for an evening of fun and holiday cheer with Council’s Starry Night starting at 5 p.m. and the Santa Claus Parade starting at 6 p.m.
The Santa Claus Parade starts on Main St., heading south on Franklin Ave. and the parade will end at the corner of Riedel St. and Clearwater Dr.
Main Street is designated as a Sensory-Friendly Block for those in need of a quieter, calmer parade experience. During this time, floats and walking groups will turn off their music and sirens.
Check out the parade route map at rmwb.ca/Santa.
Safety Information
When enjoying the parade, remember to stay on the sidewalk and behind any barricades. Dress for the weather and stick together with your group.
Please follow instructions from officials and volunteers and refrain from crossing the road once it’s been closed. After the parade, please be patient and wait for the road to reopen.
Council’s Starry Night
Join the Mayor and Councillors in celebrating the holiday season! Don’t miss the tree and tipi lighting ceremony before the parade begins. Enjoy complimentary hot chocolate as we come together to embrace the festive spirit!
Children are invited to bring their letters for Santa’s Mailbox, open until the parade begins at 6 p.m.
Vote for your favourite floats!
After the parade, remember to vote for your favourite floats. Community organizations with the best decorated float in each category will receive $1,000, either for their non-profit organization, or a non-profit of their choice.
Voting will open Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. and close at 11:59 p.m.
