Participants in this interactive workshop are provided with the tips and tricks to grant writing and the development of a specific, meaningful, actionable plan to achieve positive results. Upon completion of the workshop, participants will understand the sources of grants and learn how to research to align their organization’s proposition to the granting organization’s objectives. During the workshop, the facilitators walk the participants through a sample grant application thereby preparing each to set out to find a grant applicable to their specific project and organization. As part of workshop, participants can receive one-hour, one-on-one coaching intended to help each confidently move forward with the grant submission.

Shilpa Stocker, MBA, FCMC is a Fellow Certified Management Consultant, and is passionate about assisting clients to achieve success in their ventures and initiatives through client-centered and client-oriented management consulting. She has written many grant proposals on behalf of her clients. Shilpa has instructed at the University of Lethbridge and has facilitated online and in-person workshops for diverse organizations, including Essentials of Management Consulting and Ethical Behavior: Best Practices for Management Consultants for CMC-Canada.
Jon Close brings 40 plus years of small business and not-for-profit leadership and coaching experience to the facilitation team. As a non-profit leader, Jon has successfully written many grant proposals on behalf of the organizations he lend and served. As a small business coach and mentor, he has supported small businesses prepare and submit successful grant applications. Jon is Principal of a leadership and personal development company. His company delivers on-line training and coaching. He has instructed for Mount Royal University, Community Futures Wood Buffalo, and for the Community Futures Leadership Institute.
