HeartSpark is a new organization created with the intention of exploring issues and topics important to girls aged 10-13.

While exploring themes creatively with “ScrapJournaling”, this multi-media journal will allow participants to explore their thoughts and feelings using a variety of different mediums in a keepsake book they can have forever.

Throughout the program, participants will engage in a series of interactive sessions designed to nurture various aspects of their personal development. Through the art of multi-media scrap-journalling, they’ll unearth a medium for self-expression, capturing their thoughts, dreams, and emotions on the pages of their journals. These creative outlets will become a reflection of their evolving selves.

Participants will create collages, layouts and spreads surrounding the many aspects of growing up and adolescence, both reflective and looking to the future. Participants are not required to share their work with their peers, but are invited to present things they’ve learned or are proud of if they wish.

The group will also work together to create HeartSpark scrapjournal collaborations that will be shared with the community.
