NVCI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention) (ASD Edition) Full 2-day Blue Card certification or 1-day renewal available. This session is designed to focus on prevention, by providing staff with proven strategies for safely defusing anxious, hostile, or violent behavior at the earliest possible stage. The program incorporates a variety of autism-specific skills, such as Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), functional behavioral assessment, and support for individuals with self-injurious behavior.You will Learn:
- How to identify behaviors that could lead to a crisis.
- How to most effectively respond to each behavior to prevent the situation from escalating.
