Guided by a unifying theme and incorporating a surprise prop and costume element, PIAD fosters creativity, collaboration, and spontaneity among artists of all ages and experience levels. The event invites families, friends, co-workers, and fellow creatives to connect through the shared joy of performance.
Finishing with a flourish with a live showcase at King Street Theatre (9803 King Street), the completed plays are performed before a supportive audience and a panel of local “celebrity judges.” The awards ceremony adds a lighthearted, humorous touch – celebrating participation and creativity rather than promoting competition.
