This interactive event at MacDonald Island Park- Borealis Room (located on the second floor) will offer you fun introduction to the basics of sign language. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn a new language and connect with others in a new way.

This event is facilitated by Lasha Barbosa. Lasha is a Professional Fine Artist and certified ASL speaker who uses American Sign Language (ASL) every day for communication. As a mute artist, Lasha brings a unique perspective to her workshops, blending her classical art foundations with modern ink work. Her courses are not just for the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community but for anyone who struggles with communication and wants to learn sign language.

Join her for an interactive ASL workshop during Alberta Culture Days, where you’ll learn, connect, and be inspired to thrive and create in your own unique way. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of something truly special! To learn more about Lasha and her work, visit www.lashafineart.com.

This event is a part of Alberta Culture Days 2024 and is made possible thanks to the generous support of Arts Council Wood Buffalo, Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, and the Government of Alberta.
