Métis Dot Art & Creative Career Workshop
Location
- 441 Sakitawaw Trail, Fort McMurray, AB, Canada
Funded by the ACWB, join Stacey Grant and our in-kind partner McMurray Métis Local 1935 for Métis Dot Art & building a creative career.
Welcome to the Métis Dot Art & Creative Career Workshop! Join us in person at our in-kind partner McMurray Métis Local 1935’s Kahkiyaw Gathering Place for a session that blends creativity with practical skills for building a culturally grounded career.
Participants will create their own dot art piece while exploring how Métis values (such as respect, reciprocity, and community) can guide and strengthen a business or art practice. Whether you are an artist, entrepreneur, or simply curious about bringing cultural principles into your work, you’ll leave with inspiration, new tools, and a fresh perspective on how to move through the world of business in a good way.
We are deeply appreciative of the Arts Council of Wood Buffalo‘s support in funding this event for Alberta Culture Days, and for the generosity of our in-kind partner McMurray Métis Local 1935 and their donation of event space, tool rental, and technology use in the Kahkiyaw Gathering Place.
