Sanatan Mandir Cultural Society (SMCS) warmly invites you, your friends, and family to VIRASAT – Celebrate the Heritage, a vibrant week-long celebration from May 18–25, 2025. This event is a heartfelt tribute to our community’s spirit, a showcase of our rich cultural heritage, and an opportunity to give back to the community that unites us.

Join us for a week of spiritual, cultural, and wellness activities at Sanatan Mandir.

 Event Schedule

 

  • Sunday, May 18
    • SMCS Youth Fair (10 AM–12 PM): Engage our youth with fun games and learning to inspire the next generation.
    • SMCS Anniversary Celebration (3 PM–8 PM): Celebrate our temple’s milestone with a Satyanarayana Pooja, bringing our community together in gratitude and devotion. Dinner to follow.
  • Monday, May 19
    • SMCS Anniversary Celebration (10 AM–4 PM): Unite in a sacred Havan and spiritual activities. Dinner to follow.
  • Tuesday, May 20
    • Community Health Workshop (6 PM–8 PM): Promoting wellness for all.
  • Wednesday, May 21
    • Yoga for Health (6 PM–8 PM): Foster community well-being with guided yoga sessions open to all skill levels.
  • Thursday, May 22
    • Dance Workshop (6 PM–8 PM): Showcase our culture through traditional cultural dance from around world, led by expert instructors.
  • Friday, May 23
    • Paint Night (6 PM–8 PM): Spark creativity and connection with a guided painting session for all ages.
  • Saturday, May 24
    • Krishna Leela – Musical Dance Drama (5 PM–7 PM, Keyano Theatre): Celebrate our heritage with a mesmerizing performance of Lord Krishna’s divine stories. Snacks to follow.
  • Sunday, May 25
    • Trade Show & Cultural Feast (11 AM–3 PM): Savor world cuisines, explore vendor stalls, and celebrate our community’s diversity and generosity.

  • Most events are free, with some requiring pre-registration. Details to follow.
  • Krishna Leela will be held at Keyano Theatre; all other events are at SMCS Mandir Located at 108 Abraham Gate, Fort McMurray, AB
